The Selfie Game #Mobiistar #EnjoyMore #DelhiDiaries

“What are you doing at home at this time? Aren’t you supposed to be working today?” came a question from a flatmate who enjoys working from home at the hours of her own will. She had finally woken up from her summer slumber (as she calls them) just a second before the clock turned from AM to PM.
I winked in response as I continued to scan for the perfect outfit in my wardrobe.
“You seem to be going somewhere?” it was a question than a statement for her as she shuffled through the utensils to get some breakfast done.
“Ummhmm”, I replied in monosyllables as my thoughts wandered off finding the perfect accessories.
“Woah, that’s so cool”, she almost shouted when she saw the event invite I was getting ready for.
“You get to go here on a day that’s just in the middle of the week while I sit here and work and wait for the weekend to arrive. That’s unfair”, I bet I saw her making a grumpy face saying take-me-along.
“Yes, I do!” I teased her as I vanished behind the door to get into the avatar I had created in my head.

The cab pulled outside the grand venue of Hyatt Regency and I quickly stepped out. As I made my way to the registration desk for the event, my eyes were distracted by the cynosure of the day. I took a detour and reached directly to the desk where it was in all its glory. I couldn’t contain the excitement of being amongst the very few to see it before rest of the world err.. rest of the country did. What was it? It was

Mobiistar XQ Dual and CQ phone grabbing all the attention.

As my fingers quickly surveyed the phone and its specs one by one, my mind was completely gripped in awe of it. All I thought, it seems like a really expensive phone. Out of my shyness, I didn’t ask the price for it and waited for rest of the event to unfold.

The registration began and everyone soon grabbed their share of coffee. I found some old friends from BNLF and it became a happy reunion. There were seemingly many new faces as it was my Delhi Indiblogger meet after quite a few years. Chatting our way with coffee in our hands, we made new friends.

The event kicked off and Carl Ngo, CEO of Vietnam-based smartphone manufacturer, introduced us to their new products in India. (Okay, here I admit, though I am a tech enthusiast I gladly stayed back from joining the tech bloggers on the first bench and instead found myself giggling between my friends on the last bench.) But what I thought would be a monotonous presentation turned out to be an interesting one instead. He did have a good sense of humour to keep us engaged right until the end! “These phones are inspired by increasing selfie-culture”, said Carl as Mobiistar phones offer enhanced selfies.

These low-budget smartphones are a spectacular steal deal and can give other competitive company a major run for their money. As Carl NGO rolled out the special qualities of these phones one by one, everyone present there was awed, to say the least. Full HD and curved glass design with a great selfie camera come as a package at a very affordable price which was once part of only premium phones.

Still wondering why am I going gaga over these phones? Take a quick look at what this phone offers and I bet you would be thinking about it too, is this real?

I know your interest is equally by now, so what next? These phones are available at Mobiistar’s official partner Flipkart. But, did the event end here? No, of course not. What IB meets without a lot of fun. Just after we gobbled the delicious snacks, we were split into teams of 10 and we were to create a story with our selfies. But guess what? We got our hands on Mobiistar XQ for this. And the brand does live up to its claim of enhancing selfie experience of people in India.

Our team “Selfie Stars” plotting the story

The fun ended and it was time to go home. But let us a take a selfie first, and just like we got ourselves fit into the frame for our customary photo of the IB meet.

Can you spot me?

And hence we headed home but not without the goodies! Yay!
