Surviving Through April #AtoZChallenge

Oh! It’s April gone by and we are already done with the first week of May. As the frenzy of AtoZ has now cooled down, it slowly dawned on me that yes, I did it again! Fourth year in row! How does it feel? Absolutely amazing sense of achievement yet a little tinge of guilt.

How it happened?
After AtoZ 2016, I had decided that I wouldn’t be doing it next year. After all, writing reading and blog hopping becomes a bit strenuous when you have to juggle with the full time job at hand. But it’s hard to escape the frenzy when it is the only talk of the blogging town. I jumped in with the faint theme in mind not revealing to anyone before the clock struck 1st April. With a few posts written, scattered over whole of the month, I was heading into the challenge, unprepared yet again.

What happened next?
Hardly a week had gone by and I was sailing smooth in those challenge waters but then I got the most awaited transfer letter summoning me to another city within next two days. So, Fate has it.. Another week and not only was I juggling with 8-9 hours in new workplace and new city but also sketching love stories for the challenge while commuting. For a month, when I was trying to find the footing in the new city, I was also trying to find my muse for the letters that were still blank. Though I still managed to hit publish before the clock struck 12 yet blog hopping took a back seat. It was like race daily. A part of my brain would conjure ideas throughout the day, and on the way back home I would put those ideas together to form a story and then when I would get home instead of hitting bed after dinner I would be found hitting my keyboard, typing out one word after the other. As I hit Z on the Sunday evening of 30th April, I breathed I sigh of satisfaction that I didn’t falter.

The challenge might have ended but I still pledge to read all those blogs that have missed out in my struggle of April. It is definitely a time for some celebration for all of us who have put in a great deal of effort to come out with not only 26 posts for a month but many of us have stepped back into the blogging town getting their own space. Cheers to everyone!

  1. WOW, that’s truly brave of you to attempt and complete the challenge successfully amidst all the busy-ness. 🙂 I haven’t read any of your posts. Will definitely find time to read your love stories, Nibha. 🙂 Congrats on finishing the race. 🙂
