(A)bout Time #AtoZChallenge

“Ninaaaa!!! Where are my specs! I can’t find them!” He said, without even getting up from his rocking chair, newspaper in his hands.
“They are in your study, kept of the table”, she replied from the other room without looking up from her magazine. She knew him too well, this was his daily routine, he always left his specs in the study and would pretend he couldn’t find them.
“And my coffee?” came the reply. He still hadn’t made any effort of getting up to get his specs. He also knew her too well.
“I know you want me to get your specs..”, she murmured to herself while getting up to brew the coffee.A few minutes later she appeared in front of him with the coffee and the specs and sat in front of him after handing him both the things.
He smiled sheepishly as he took the first sip.
“Perfect as always!”
She rolled her eyes, her usual reaction to his praise. This was a scene their grand-daughter would witness daily and it amused her always. Out of curiosity she finally asked, ” Grandma, this happens daily but still you don’t get irritated ever?”
Nina smiled at her grand-daughter and spoke gently, “It’s been more fifty years and it’s a daily story. But we know it’s important than anything else to us. It’s our time. Because amongst million other things, Love is just about the time we share with each other.”
Fifteen years old Shreya found it amusing that how little she knew about love.

There is no one who hadn’t known love. We all have been touched by it at some point or the other. So this April I will take you through the little snippets of love that will warm your heart, touch your soul and might moist your eyes. Stay tuned and watch love unfold daily in new ways.

  1. That’s such a sweet and a heartwarming form of love. As we grow older, we realize that it’s these small little things that matter the most. Love your theme, Nibha. Looking forward to read the snippets of love, all through April. Cheers 🙂

  2. This is so cute! It’s the little things that matter. Plus, the generations before us were much more patient than we are! Who knows, when we reach that age, we’ll probably have robots to get everything done for us! Amazing start, Nibha! Checking out the rest of the posts 🙂
