Kay and Zoe were lost on this. They didn’t knew what Kim had just said.
Let’s hurry up and fix our aircraft. I don’t think we have much time left to get out of here. She almost ran towards the exit of the forest. They both ran behind her, feeling completely lost on the situation. Within minutes they were at the beach again. The beach that had been shining brightly in the sun was now calm, serene and silver in the moonlight. It was something a person would like to sit and savour for hours without getting tired of it ever. But Time was a luxury which the trio couldn’t afford to have at the moment.
Kim jumped into the pilot seat followed by Kay in the co-pilot and Zoe in the backseat. After struggling with the controls for another few minutes, Kim finally managed to pull the submerged part of the aircraft from the sea.
“What are we actually going to do?” asked Kay, finally.
“We are going to fly again and find out one exit out of this universe which opens into ours”, Kim spoke.
“Ok, so you know where’s it? Right?” asked Zoe.
“Nope. There would be many exits to the different universes but only one to ours. We will fly exactly the same route we came through. The exit should be there where we lost control of our controls, I suppose”, she said as she geared up the engine and it snorted in anger.
Kay and Zoe exchanged nervous looks. They weren’t too sure of Kim’s confidence.
“Zoe, just track the trajectory of our previous journey please”, Kim’s words broke off their eye-to-eye conversation.
Zoe obediently agreed and pulled out the digital map and seconds later communicated the same to Kim. It was then he noticed the sudden shift in the trajectory that the aircraft had followed. Just seconds before the aircraft had lost it control, there was a blank in the line of path.
“I found the gap, the exit or whatever you call it”, shouted Zoe with excitement.
They flew exactly the same path before they felt the jerks but instead of falling this time, they were sucked into the sky.

It was dead of the night when they tried to sneak into the house from the backdoor but one can’t have so much of luck in one single day and they were no different. They were cornered and bombarded with questions.
“Err.. We just went for a little outing”, was all they could say because no one would believe that they had just seen the Earth as it should’ve been all this time not like the Man has made it to be.

  1. Gosh! It’s good that they reached home safe and sound!
I wonder which universe they went into, though. They should have written down something and brought it back home. It would have made for a great astronomic discovery!

Congratulations Nibha on completing the challenge! I really loved the five stories that you presented in this challenge. But this one was the best! <3

Hope to see you around ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Oh cool! So a good end at last.
Congrats on completing the challenge. I missed a couple in between but everytime I was here, you kept me engaged.
