When We Decided To Meet #BangaloreBytes
It’s true when anyone says that a city like Bangalore gives you an opportunity to meet new people and make new friends almost daily but it’s not everyday that you find yourself comfortable with the company of people whom you have never met before. Yesterday was one such day when we, the Bangalore Members of a Blogging Group decided to meet up for lunch. Preparations were on for quite a while, listing who all lived here and who all will/might turn up to picking out a venue for the convenience of everyone. The stage was all set and grand appearance was to be made yesterday. Even the thought of meeting this fabulous group of people was exciting to me. I spent a few hours the previous night figuring out the route and means to reach there. 😛 To say I was excited, would be an understatement. I was super-excited.
Taking the auto and the help of Google Maps(which has been my sincere navigator since I have landed in this city), I reached the venue. Oh, how wonderful it felt to finally see those faces and meet those people that hid behind the magical wall of words. Introductions happened and the conversations flowed. Loads of smiles and lots of laughter followed automatically! In came the drinks and also the celebrity of the table which was enough to send us those laughter riots! Yah, the picture below shows off the celebrity, the supposedly bathtub type vessel for my order of Lemon Iced Tea!
There were eleven of us who turned up for the meet. I’m one of those introverts who find it pretty difficult to interact when it comes to new people. But all these people didn’t let me feel left out even for a minute. All the faces glowed with happiness and the smile was indeed infectious. By our rounds of loud laughters and constant chirping, no one would have guessed that we were meeting for the first time(well which was the case for most of us). There was so much warmth oozing out that it felt like a big bear hug! To sum up I would say, it was one of my best days in Bangalore as yet (and there aren’t may of them in my treasure box). It’s just been a day and I already feel like calling everyone up to meet again! 😀

Meeting virtual friends in real life is simply awesome. All the pictures are testimony of the fact that you all had a great time. I met a virtual friend for the first time last weekend too 🙂
