My Take:

When you think every thing is going to be sorted out another twist pops up.. When you think you know who the culprit is you are proven wrong.. When you think you processing in the right direction you need to reset your facts. This is what a mystery novel is like and The Seventh Cup is no exception to this. It completely fulfills all the criteria of a mystery novel. Can’t be said much about the novel as it might ruin the suspense.

The characters are perfectly described and do justice to their roles. One can fully imagine oneself surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Switzerland or just get lost in the experiences of Goa. Author takes the reader to the nostalgic road of good old days. The novel also takes the form of an informative guide when it tells the V reader about the lesser known topic of archaeology.

The book strongly revolves around the Law of Attraction. It reinforces the debate between Believers and Non-Believers. For those who aren’t familiar with the Law might find it thought provoking and intriguing.

However, the story may confuse the reader in the starting as it continuously switches between past and present, fiction and reality. Some pages and information often becomes repetitive with no such need.

My Rating:

3.5/5

And now I’ll leave you with a few lines from the book…

“Romance is nothing but an unsolved mystery.”

“Yes, no matter what we plan for our lives, life on the other hand always has a different plan in store for us.”

“The theory of unconditional love has its own limitations. “

“It is rather baffling to even think that we are living in this mysterious world which has so many hidden treasures of knowledge for us. And yet we spend our entire lives with a preconceived notion, closing our minds to these questions, or rather running away from them.”
