Incomplete Words
The blank page stares at me
Waiting for words to spill out
Wanting to know what’s in my heart
And what my mind thinks about
O pen! Guide me today to write
And my words to bleed
Millions thoughts occupy my mind
Peace is all what I need
What should my words contain?
Emotions deep inside that I hide,
Or some words of wisdom
To spread love worldwide
Incomplete words scribbled here
Through pen they found their way
Sounding incoherent to me
They seem to go astray
Baffled I sit wondering
What is it that I really want to say??

Lovely use of words. Looks like they found their way onto the paper 🙂
Yes.. finally they did! 🙂
Yes, so true. Deciding just what you want to say when you sit down to write is oftentimes the hardest thing. Once one decides WHAT, oftentimes the words do follow! And the blank page is filled before you know it.
True Mary! Sometimes words fill up the page automatically, before we know it 🙂
Incomplete words? They read beautiful to me. 🙂
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder 🙂
I have felt like this too many times to count!! Brilliant!
Thanks a ton 🙂 It’s common to all writers 8 guess 🙂
Absolute love this tale of pen doing the talking:)
Thanks a lot Vishal 🙂
Like the way you linked ‘writers block’ to the prompt 🙂 Which you don’t seem to have, by the looks of it.
Thanks Sid! Glad you liked it!! 🙂 well, it’s the 100 words poetry challenge taken up these days more than the said writer’s block!! 😛
Ah yes the old question, what is it I really want to say? I like the light feel to this. Enjoyed reading it.
Thanks a ton 🙂 Glad you liked it 🙂
I guess sometimes we need to choose emotions while at other times wisdom will feel more appropriate. But yes, words can also baffle us.
Yes and for those baffled times we are nothing but clueless. Thanks for visiting Gabriella 🙂
Sometimes even if we want to say things it just doesn’t come, does it?
Nicely written Nibha
I agree Nabanita! Words fail us often when we are so full of extreme emotions!
Thanks for reading !:)
It’s ironic (and I think amusing) that when we think we have nothing to say, we end up saying stuff…the words just spill out onto the page! 😉 <3
Exactly elly! I have felt this too!!
Great. You had nothing to say and yet managed to get 100 words on paper :p
Do drop by mine.
Cheers

You have expressed it so well. It’s true many a times emotions in you guide you to write. Then there are times when you want to write so much yet you can write nothing.
Brilliant piece.
Enjoyed reading it 🙂
Lovely poem indeed! I like the way you have expressed the emotions one goes through while writing something. 🙂
that was clever Nibha! Loved the narrative and the emotions a writer goes through while he is wanting to pen down his thoughts.
Kudos to u.
Beautifully said! Loved this poem. 🙂
