2015 – A New Book

Here’s another new book we are offered to write. A book with 365 blank pages to fill with our ink. Some may fill it with poetry and Some with prose, Some may splash colors of love onto it and some with grey shades, Some may write something new on every page and some might leave it all blank. So, it’s upto us how we fill those pages of our Life.

A similar blank page went away yesterday. I was unsure about how to fill it, what to write on it, to draw or to paint. So, in this confusion I decided to leave it blank and let it write its own story for the day. It wasn’t bad what showed up but it wasn’t good either.

Day 1 brought a sort of good news by finally concluding my confusion which had  almost eaten up the last four months of my life. Now I know how it feels to have something off your shoulder after such a long time. Yes, I finally found a way to walk on. Phew!! Some of my friends say, it’s a good start to the year ahead and surely more blessings will follow. Let’s see, what happens.

But on the other note, the day didn’t end as well as it has started. I can mention it in the not-so-great-start-for-a-new-year’s list. No, I am not being ungrateful for the things I mentioned above but sometimes Life gives you chocolates in one hand and medicines in another. Moreover, it gives you no choice. You have to have both in the same plate. What do you do?? You are happy for chocolates but sad for the medicines. You can’t help but feel trapped in these two feelings. It’s like, if you have the Rose you will have the thorns too! Life is like this I know, all 365 days can’t be sunny neither can it rain whole year. But to have them both the same day, that too the very first day! Unexpected. And Disappointing too! I wonder, what those friends have to say to this?

So the Starting was a mixture of both. Looks like the year ahead will be kind of the same. This is surely an year full of uncertainty for me and which I think is both, Good and Bad. Good, because, Life will surprise me as it comes and so I have nothing to worry about (except the uncertainty itself!). Bad, because, not knowing what’s ahead I really can’t be prepared for the unforeseen dangers ahead.

But another day ending soon and the new year is slowly settling in our lives to become old. Nothing seems to have changed other than the date. However people are shouting their wishes and resolutions every where. What are mine?

Other than this I wish to write more and read more! I still can’t commit to daily writing but yah I promise myself to do it more often than before. So, I hope you see more of me here this year!

What’s your new year resolutions? How was your start of the year? How do you plan to fill the new 365 pages of the book?

  3. I really like the analogy of the blank book. All too many times I allow my own book to fill itself instead of being intentional about what is written in it – even though the days in which I live with intention end up being the far more interesting pages! Thanks for the reminder.

  4. I am truly a blank book person. I like the idea of going with the flow and allowing life to unfold as it is meant to. Dwell on the things that make you feel happy and let go of those that don’t. Wishing you an awesome 2015

  5. Not sure if you got my comment so here it is again
