The Sunday Scroll #18

Sunday Scroll

Hi all,

Diwali is round the corner and I guess everyone is busy with Diwali shopping and ofcourse Diwali cleaning 😉 And those away from home must be taking a break from their busy lives to be at home with their family. Yes, Diwali should be at home. And so I’m home yet again! 😀

Yes, so many frequent trips to home, it feels like I am home more than in hostel these days. But this time it was different. It was a surprise for everyone at home. I quietly preponed my plan and got home 4 days earlier than expected. Voila!! What a reaction I got! The surprised expressions on mom’s and dad’s faces were worth keeping the secret of surprise for two days (It wasn’t easy, Trust me!!). And the little sister literally pinched me to know I was there in real! 😀

But the week that ended on a happy note wasn’t the same when it had started. Coming home for Diwali was indeed a reason for happiness but sometimes being happy isn’t as easy it seems to be. Sometimes choices you have, tear you apart. Yes I mean saying Goodbye to friends, though it wasn’t  the last one but still it was the tough one. I guess it’s tough for me every-time I say it. It doesn’t get even a bit easier with its increasing count. And this time I did get the glimpse of what is to be followed soon, a few weeks later. The Final One. I fear it as it nears. But it can’t be avoided either. We all have our different paths set for us, only wishing that they keep crossing again and again in future that seems so uncertain now. I wonder how some people and their friendships can become such an important part of your life that even a little bye can hurt so much. Anyways, for the festive season is here, I keep my emotional cap aside (you are going to have me bragging more of this stuff really soon! So please bear with me! 😉 )

So, the day of surprises hadn’t ended there. There was something more. A very dear friend of mine, one from my graduation days, was going home too and had an hour’s stop in my city for the change of the train. I grabbed the opportunity and rushed to meet her. It was more than a year or two we had met. We used to be travelling buddies back in graduation days, and so we met at railway station; kind of re-defining the way our friendship had  started and reminiscing our adventurous journeys together. Our happiness were beyond words! Seriously, if you find friends for life, they are as rare as gems, just treasure them always! This was the thing I realized this week, once again!

Amidst all this I had to dropout of the Write Tribe’s  7 Days to Rediscovering Your Blogging Groove against my wishes. But so much happening in life along with the poor internet connection, there wasn’t any other choice left. And similarly the Letter Series took a back seat. I promise to be back to it really soon. 😀

So this was my week, full of tears, smiles, happiness, sadness, surprises and reunions- in all a perfect blend of life. How was yours?

Until Next Sunday,

Keep Smiling!
