Ramp Walk
While I was struggling with the “R” and my studies wouldn’t let me think anything creative to write, my dear friend, Umang, came to help just like an Angel. I can’t thank her enough for taking out time to write this post! Thank you so much!! 🙂 <3
So, Here it is, another diary entry of the ordinary girl. Lets read it together..
Dear Diary, Nothing could be as exciting for me as today’s incidence. It’s Fest atmosphere in my college and everybody is equipped with a series of events and workshops. The IT department is organizing a fashion show for the cultural eve. Students had to give their auditions by today itself. My heart jumped out of joy as I heard this news. The model inside me urged to get out of my reticent nature. I went near the hall where these auditions were going on but had no confidence to face a number of competitors flaunting their beauties and confidence all around. It’s far better to chill out with friends, I thought. Hours passed chirping with them and preparing for the events. But secretly I wished I were this confident to face the auditions as well. Lack of confidence made me ignore, Ordinary Girl. |
Has it happened with you that your hidden desires suddenly came true? Share your thoughts!
You may read the other pages of diary here! The thoughts shared aren’t from the personal diary of the writer. They are based on observation and input from friends and personal experiences.
When things are meant to happen, somehow they happen. Nice post.
Yup! Everything happens for a reason afterall!
It is so amazing when something like this happens. I had no confidence to write until one day someone asked me to write for the local newspaper 🙂
Wow!!! that’s called nailing the opportunities! Well done!
When i was working in my first company I was asked to participate in a dance item. Even though it was my dream to dance on stage one day I said no. I dont know why I rejected it but till today I have repented that decision 🙁
Don’t repent, there will be more opportunities later in future!
As the ad says. Dar ke aage jeet hai… Its the first step that is the most difficult

fear inside us stops us frm exibiting our talents! has happened with me a lot of times!
I have faced it too! 🙁

We are all capable of extraordinary things. We just have to step out of ourselves.

Yup Liz! I agree! Thanks for the visit! 🙂
I sang and walked the ramp as part of freshers party in college. And these were something that I had NEVER done before and never knew that I could sing too!! Such incidents truly fill you with warmth and pride. Well done, Nibha 🙂
Really even it happened with me during freshers party!!
Oh God! I walked the ramp in high school, during farewell and felt so conscious 😛 But, it is good to try these things out every once in a while, for fun 😀 Nice one, Umang!
Yup, and that feeling we get after trying these new things is inexplicable! 🙂
Stepping out of your comfort zone is never easy.. but worth it. http://batteredhope.blogspot.ca/2014/01/push-yourself-out-of-comfort-zone.html#.U1VfQSiPNW8
Exactly, it brings out new talents and improves our personality!
sometimes stepping out to test unknown waters do bring good results; I was once assigned the job of anchoring a function at office & being a newbie, I was scared of screwing things up in front of the biggies & even thought of backing out but then a friend boosted my confidence & my job was done smoothly. And now I am asked to do it every now & then and I enjoy it too 🙂
Venturing out new things often works out in our favour, bringing out things that we ourselves didn’t know!
can’t agree more 🙂
🙂
I can totally relate to this post, just few days back I walked the ramp !
Nice one !
Ooooohhh!! Must have been a wonderful experience!
