Questionnaire
Here’s another diary entry of the ordinary girl. Lets read it together..
Dear Diary, Today something strange happened that led to the introspection. The lecturer was out of station so another was sent for substitution. Yah, this college doesn’t believe in suspending the class if lecturer isn’t available. They always find someone to teach us. But this teacher was cool. I had never seen him before in college. May be a new appointee, I thought. After a brief introduction session he said that this session would be followed by a questionnaire. Just say the word quiz/test/assignment/questionnaire and the face of every student droops. Same happened then. We were made to take out the middle sheets from our notebooks and everyone reluctantly wrote their name on it respectively. But what followed next was unusual. All the sheets were collected and were randomly distributed “in everyone’s best interest”. Now what, thought everyone. “Create two sections and in each section write one positive and one negative trait of the person whose name is on the top. Having done this pass the sheet. And yes, do not mention your name and don’t be mean.” said the lecturer. After 15 minutes or so, the sheets were re-collected and given to the owner. “Read and analyze your traits, but don’t take it to your heart. And please go hunting down every handwriting there!” saying this the lecturer left. I glanced at my sheet. Understanding, helpful, good listener, caring, sensitive, creative, etc on one side while arrogant, rude repeatedly on the other side. It made me think, am I really so? That’s what happens. All we focus on is the negatives. But why arrogant? I wondered. This is what introverts are taken as most of the time. Arrogant! God knows when people will understand them. Stereotyped society! Just Believes what it sees not what actually is! Some are just questions, Ordinary Girl. |
Have you ever been hurt due to the stereotyped society?

Exactly Swathi!! Human nature, there is no escaping it!
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS are the part of life, sometimes through exams and sometimes without
exams also,in verbal way but all the time there is a learning barring few questions as happened
in Exam hall.your quote give me always a jump to that part to read……….
So truly said, questions often help us to take a better perspective of the thing!
Awesome post Aramis!!! Questions :O something that makes me go crazy in both ways 😛
I agree! Same happens with me too!
I think that sometimes we gravitate to the negative because we really do want to change and improve. So, don’t beat yourself up for those criticisms — use them to your advantage.
Thanks for the advice Carol 🙂
