Day Dreaming
Here’s another diary entry of the ordinary girl. Lets read it together..
Dear Diary,
What happened today? Its not the first time I did that but it was indeed first time getting caught! Yah, professor caught me day dreaming today in the class; which led to an embarrassing situation I didn’t want to be in. He asked me what I was dreaming about so happily. Now what? I just concocted a story of enjoying summers at the beach! Thanks to my imagination which soared just at the right moment! Dream dream dream! Ordinary “dreaming” Girl. |
Do you also dream? Do you regret the shattered dreams or enjoy the bliss of dreams coming true? Share your dreaming theories…
You may read the other pages of diary here!
The thoughts shared aren’t from the personal diary of the writer. They are based on observation and input from friends and personal experiences.
Awww ordinary dreaming girl writes quite well…dream dream dream 🙂
Yes dreams is all we have! 🙂 thanks for the visit! 🙂
It is most difficult to forget shattered dreams but we must learn not to allow it to rob us of any future dreams.
Wise words Carol but if only it was easy to let go the shattered dreams!
I’m surprise a professor would let his class be hijacked this way. You pay too much for school to think his lectures are boring. Dang!

Well some subjects just don’t interest the person so the ultimate result is getting bored!
Dreams… I’m thinking it’s best for me to not speak of dreams; I dreamt of growing old with him, but now he has passed on and I just continue on… alone.
That was a tricky way to end a boring lecture. It sounds like your teacher wasn’t too sad about leaving the subject, either. 😉
I’m sure destiny will have something great in your future. just keep dreaming and don’t give up!
Thanks for the visit Mary 🙂
Dreams Dreams!!!! They are lovely. Especially day dreaming, because in nights I get only nightmares!!! Even yesterday I had this ghostly nightmare 🙁
Yes dreams are lovely! So what was this nightmare you had? The one I’m.having is not being able to read people’s blog 🙁
Sri it is because of your horror stories 😛 Cooking up fictional horror in your sleep also?
Hehe!! I guess She is! 😛
Unfulfilled dreams can hold out promise for future fulfillment, you are right. As for shattered dreams, eventually I have recovered or, in one case, my very good friend made a simple comment/observation about someone I thought had broken my heart, and her comment was so “spot on” that I was immediately healed after years of angst.
you are lucky to have such a caring friend..
shattered dreams are a life lesson. But my solution to shattered dreams is, pick up the pieces, and analyse what went wrong. Think if there is some way in which you can put the pieces together again, or make an entirely new dream with the required changes. Who knows? You might end up with something better than you wished for in the beginning 🙂
So true Gauri! Thanks for sharing your wisdom! 🙂
My first poems were written while day dreaming in the classes, at the back of the notebooks 😛
Bhavya @ Ishithaa
ditto Bhavya!! Best ideas do come in the class!
I have been day dreaming ever since I can remember! 😀 Another gr8 entry to the diary!
Random Thoughts Naba
Thank you Nabanita 🙂
Reminds me of that John Lennon song – you say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one! Nice entry in the diary…starts out with a simple incidence and brings up some deeper questions.
Nice song! Sometimes simple things leads to deeper introspection! Thanks for the visit 🙂
I guess unfulfilled dreams are better.. atleast there will be a hope.. I can connect with the girl totally. I keep dreaming most of the times in classes 😀
I am happy you can connect to her. Its happens so much in class that we end up dreaming! 😛
I love dreaming & dreams being – fulfilled or shattered – I guess we have to face them both. How we respond to them is the key here 🙂
Exactly! Because running away from them isn’t the solution!
🙂
I dream big, and I don’t let up until it happens. In that case, I’ve led a relatively successful life, but I still have a long way to go. I think the more important thing is just to make sure you’re not spending all of your time dreaming, rather than taking the steps to make it happen.

Yup Alex! Dreaming and moving towards the completion of your dreams is the most important!
I dream and I dream of the future.. I then work towards that future. Dreams keep us going. Keep dreaming!
Inspiring words Rebecca!
Thanks for the visit 🙂
Nibha great post. I think I enjoy the fulfilled dreams more than think of the shattered ones. Unfulfilled ones can be fulfilled at any time, who knows 🙂
Yup hoping for the best! Thanks Sunila for the visit! 🙂
Hahaha thankfully I never got caught. Loved the ending verses.
Thank you Rajlakshmi 🙂
The million times I have been pulled for daydreaming 😀
Richa
Aww.. Happens with me too! *hugs*
Once me and a friend was laughing teasing the professor who was teaching. He saw, he caught us and made tell what we were talking. Gosh! The embarrassment we felt. But the Prof was a good humored one… so we were spared except from his teasings!
Hehe!! Happens at times in class! Whole class stares like anything!
Life without dream is dry.Unfulfilled dream provides you and hope shattered ones should fill more energy to try some other dreams.Your dairy enters into interesting phase.
So true words!!! Thank you for the words Sarala!!
Dreaming is good but not always. To dream for becoming smone is alwys good………..
Wise words!
I dream when awake and sleep in my dreams 🙂 Loved your post, dreams are what keep us going ahead and reaching for the stars.
Thank you so much Sulekha! 🙂
Very interesting post Nibha! I’m not sure…I guess broken dreams can still signify that you lived and did something and then it didn’t work out. Unfulfilled dreams are those you are still working towards. So basically, I think neither is worse! 🙂
Thank you PB! Your words made me rethink the whole thing again, but I think broken dreams do hurt!
Go ahead, dear….Go paint ur name in the sky !! 🙂
Yup, I hope that day comes soon!
