Best Friends Forever
Here’s another diary entry of the ordinary girl. Lets read it together..
| Dear Diary, I have been feeling low for quite days now. But keeping up a smile and just going on with your life is what we all do at times. But there are people who see through it and these are none other than friends. “Friends” the word in itself means the world. It can’t be defined with a single definition. It means different to everyone. To a person like me who rarely makes friends, friendship is definitely more than life. It feels so special when friends care, going extra mile just for you! As I wasn’t feeling like to anything, a friend came and dragged me out of my cocoon! Thank God that I have friends like that. Doing totally random things I am now feeling much better. Love you all. Speaking of friendship, is it always a happy thing that happens to a person? Doesn’t it hurt too? Surely, it does. 🙁 Friendship is a two way street and it definitely hurt if it turns one-way. It hurts when you care and others don’t. It hurts when you become invisible to your own friends or an outsider in your own group. Ignorance of others doesn’t hurt but when it comes from the friends you thought could see through you, it hurts worse than ever. When you know that there is someone who can be there for you. you expect them to be there for you. You expect them to be there for you and when they aren’t! It hurts! So, Friendship is not a relation, its a experience sweet and sour! Friends don’t come and go, Sharing smiles of joy, Ordinary Girl. |

Here’s the best thing I’ve ever heard said about friendship:

That’s the kind of friend I want to be. With God’s help anything is possible. 🙂

Awww…love the poem. Yes, friendship is precious; it sounds as if Ordinary Girl shared part of her soul with someone who betrayed it. I’m glad I found her (and you) through A to Z! Ordinary Girl doesn’t have just ordinary thoughts. She is beautiful. BTW I really like the visual aspect of these posts with the notebook and script 🙂

This is a nice post, a tribute to friendship. I love all my friends, whether I’ve met them personally or not. My very best friend, my love, has passed to the other side, but he is still there and watches over me. Yes, friendship is sweet/sour, as you said, but some of my favorite use sweet/sour sauce.
Very sweet poem. Friendship is a two-way relationship – not always equally giving and taking, but certainly overall a successful one requires that both are giving to each other. You’ve given us much to think about in the meaning of friendship.

Nice poem! Yes, true friends are pretty rare in life, at least going by my own experiences. Those are the ones you would do anything for and vice-versa. So-called “fair weather” friends only hang around as long as things are fun and light.

Friendship is definitely a two way street…I frankly have been very unlucky when it comes to friendship..and now I don’t care anymore… But it still hurts!
I understand there is a part of us who always wants a close friend to be by our side and his/her absence indeed hurts. I hope someone fills this void in your life really soon!
Friendship is a path where there might be thorns too but then that shouldn’t stop you from going further to find the roses.

I have similar friends, who when I am low, pull me out of my cocoon. They have pampered me a lot through times that I have become a sort of dependent on them. Without sharing significant details of my life I feel incomplete! I am glad I have them. Loved the poem and this page of diary 🙂

Friendships are precious but I’m not sure if they can really exist forever. I’m willing to be corrected of course! 🙂 We tend to grow and sometimes, not together. Having said that, I still treasure my friendships… past and present…
Well so I have been quite lucky in friendships and they have stayed with me so far! Friends are the real treasures of life 🙂
